This little piggie went to college...

I am lazy, yet quick witted. Could usually care less about the problems of the world, but probably one of the first to volunteer to help. I still aspire to be a figure skater.

Easter pictures

I put all of the pictures I took on facebook. You can just take them from there, rather than having me send all of them individually, and you can have which ever ones you like. If I edited one funny and you don't like it I can send you the original, just let me know! It was fun seeing everyone!

V-day

Can everyone leave their addresses for me? I want to send the kids valentine's. I've been meaning to get them from you guys and I figure I should get on it, because I only have a week!

Sorry for the wait.

It's been FOREVER since my last post. Not much has been happening though. Winter term is going pretty well. My schedule is pretty cake, and I get to sleep in monday-thursday. Friday I have to wake up really early for an 8 am weight management lab (boo!) but I really can't complain considering my schedule the rest of the week. I'm really liking my art classes this term. I'm taking an introduction to art course, which is really interesting. The prof is super funny and entertaining, and it's kind of reinforcing concepts I'm learning in my studio courses. My studio course for this term is great. It's already really challenging, but I can tell I'm going to learn a bunch. Last term I took a photoshop course and this term I'm learning how to use Illustrator and InDesign. The things I'm learning are really neat.

Tomorrow afternoon I have my final interview for an internship I'm applying for. If I get it, I would run my own business this summer back home. I would manage a crew of painters. My job would be to advertise and book jobs, and also to supervise my crew. I wouldn't be painting at all, and I would pay no money out of pocket. The company College Works Painting funds everything, so all I can do is make money. It would be lots and lots and lots of hard work it, but if I do a good job I will make lots of money. Kids that I've talked to who did it last summer made anywhere from $8,000 to $16,500, plus bonuses and fun rewards. They had their awards ceremony in Cancun...! How fun would that be? Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me. It's a really competitive application process, and it's pretty cool that I've made it so far.

Anyway, I'm back into the school routine so I'm sure I will post more often. Have a great weekend!

ratboy

Well, I'm pretty positive that this is living under our sink. A few weeks ago we started hearing some strange noises coming from the kitchen. After listening closely, we decided that it was coming from under our sink. Just a mouse...we hope. As we kept listening, it sounded much bigger than a mouse. It was rifling through our garbage. We could hear it. It sounded like it had hands and one day I could HEAR chewing. There were bite marks taken out of a styrofoam leftover container. It COULD NOT be just a mouse. For a while, I was sure there was a homeless person under there. We found leaves and dirt from outside. It was a little scary staying home alone, knowing that you really WEREN'T alone. We finally had Al the do it all man come over and check it out. He says it's just a mouse...we still think it's something more. Fortunately, he got some poison for us and hopefully it solves the problem!

oh yeah...Halloween part 2

I found this gem at the Good Will in Albany. I had to have it! Throughout the night I saw a lot of different costumes. Lots of cops, fire fighters, pirates, Heath Ledger jokers, referees, and hippies. I was the only OSU gymnast however. I wanted to find a baton, so I could be the baton girl that you see during halftime performances, but no luck. My costume was still a smash though. A perfect 10!

Halloween part 1

Sarah asked what I had planned for halloween. I don't really know yet. I reeeeeeeeeeally want to go trick-or-treating but I probably wont be able to get anyone to go with me. We'll see though. I still haven't decided what I'm going to be yet. For a while I wanted to be a gladiator (any excuse to wear a cape and carry a sword) but I'm not sure if I will be able to pull it together. I found a gladiator costume at the halloween store, but...I'm broke! So I will have to make something up from scratch. I'm getting so desperate that I'm honestly contemplating just throwing a sheet over my head, cutting some eye holes out, and calling it good. It's so classic. Vintage if you will. Anyway, I'm going to Good Will with Tucker tomorrow to help him find stuff to finish his costume (Ash from Army of Darkness) so I might stumble across some useful materials of my own. We shall see!

P.S. I had to hike all over campus to get business cards from various buildings. It's a stupid assignment for Art 100, just had to get proof that we went to all of these places. I'm pooped!
